Marrakech - Bergerie - Marakech - 1 Day
1 Day - 296 Km - (RM06)
Program
Meet at
9:00 am at our base (our address is available on Google - Rider-Maroc), your
bikes will be ready to go.
We'll have
a quick breakfast in our bar, with tea, coffee, dried fruit and pastries to get
to know each other.
You'll meet
your experienced guide, with whom you'll discover the pleasures of riding a
motorcycle on the magnificent roads from Marrakech.
You'll
choose your helmet and gloves in our lounge, and your guide will advise you on
your choices.
All bikes
are equipped with a Top Case for your personal belongings - don't forget your
sunglasses, you'll need them.
Your guide
will then give you all the safety instructions you need to ride with peace of
mind in Moroccan traffic.
And off we
go.... We'll be on the road by 9.30-10 a.m. at the latest... If you're ready,
your guide will try to leave earlier, so you can make the most of it.
This 1-day
tour is the longest of our tours, and is a condensed version of all the scenery
from Marrakech.
Crossing
Marrakesh's industrial district, baptism of traffic in Marrakesh (sometimes
it's sport.... So be careful).
We'll pass
through some of Marrakech's busier morning districts before heading for the
road to Lake Lala Takerkoust.
After a
maximum of 30 minutes, we'll be out of Marrakech and on our way to the Agafay
desert.
We'll then
ride along and across the Agafay desert, where the asphalt often gives way to
tracks, but it's still “easy”.
Your guide
will take a break in the Agafay desert to drink a coffee together (he'll have a
thermos with him, prepared in the morning).
After the
Agafay desert, we reach the Atlas mountains, with their narrow mountain roads
and breathtaking scenery.
During this
part of the trip, we'll be riding up, down and around the Atlas mountains.
Your
motorcycles are adapted for this beautiful ride and are particularly
comfortable for the rider and any passenger.
At around
1:30 pm, we'll arrive at Ali's for lunch in an authentic sheepfold at an
altitude of 2,000 m, either on the terrace or by the fire.
In the
afternoon, it's back to Marrakech via Amizmiz, and once again along
magnificent, little-travelled mountain roads.
Expect to
ride for hours at a time without passing a single car - pure driving
pleasure....
Your
motorcycles are suitable for this long ride and particularly comfortable for
the rider and any passenger.
During this
road-trip, all expenses are included: meals, coffee breaks, lunch breaks,
gasoline, so there are no surprises for your wallet.
Your guide,
familiar with Moroccan roads, will adapt the group's speed according to the
riders' skill levels and traffic conditions.
After
around 3 hours 30 minutes on the road, you'll be back at our base, with, we're
sure, pictures in your eyes and a big smile on your face.
After 300
km, you'll probably be a little ... tired, but happy to be back in your
accommodation.
Back at
base, at our bar, you can enjoy a drink (non-alcoholic beverages), and start
recounting the best moments of your day's motorcycling.
We'll
arrange for a private driver to take you back to your accommodation
(preferential rate), and the day's motorcycle ride will be over (we've got more
in the catalogue....).
Presentation
A day trip to climb to La Bergerie.
It offers a concentration of spectacular landscapes, crossing the Agafay Desert and the small mountain roads of the High Atlas.
This trip is the longest of our one-day trips, with a riding time of around 7 hours, and is reserved for the most experienced motorcyclists.
The highlight of the day will be lunch in the mountains at our friend Ali's sheep farm, which will be open especially for us.
We recommend this tour for motorcyclists who have already ridden in Marrakech and want to go on a longer road trip to discover the landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains.

The ride - 296 km - Ascent towards the sheepfold
Meet at 9 a.m. at our base and meet your guide.
A welcome snack awaits you, including tea, coffee, orange juice, dried fruit, and cakes.
Full briefing with your guide, who will explain the safety instructions and the specifics of driving in Morocco so that you can leave Marrakech with complete peace of mind.
Check of mandatory administrative documents (copies of passports and driver's licenses) and signing of rental and equipment insurance documents.
You will choose your helmet and gloves from those provided and familiarize yourself with your motorcycles, which are waiting for you, ready to share these few days of road trip.
Departure no later than 9:30 a.m. (we must not linger, as there will be a lot of driving today) for this long day of motorcycle riding dedicated to pleasure and discovery.
We will leave Marrakech as quickly as possible, crossing the industrial district.
After about 30 minutes, we will take the Amizmiz road towards Lake Lalla Takerkoust.
Just before reaching the lake, we will turn right towards the Agafay Desert.
At the edge of the desert (a rocky desert, as there is no sandy desert in Marrakech), we stop for a coffee prepared that morning at the base, which your guide has brought with him in a thermos.
Together, we can discuss your impressions of riding your new motorcycles, and you can share your first, inevitable anecdotes about traffic in Marrakech.
We will cross the Agafay Desert, an unmissable attraction when spending a few days in Marrakech.
Whatever your riding level and comfort, your guide, a true motorcycle professional who is perfectly accustomed to group riding, will adapt his speed to your pace.
Around noon, we will arrive at the foot of the mountain and begin the first switchbacks, then descend towards Lake Taskourt.
We will drive along the entire lake and then take the small, winding and beautiful mountain roads.
You will need to stay focused on your driving and the condition of the road, as the quality of small mountain roads in Morocco is not far from off-road conditions in Europe.
We will arrive at La Bergerie around 2 p.m., where lunch will be waiting for us. The table will be set, and they will be waiting for us with a traditional tagine or homemade grilled chicken, which we will have ordered for you the day before.
After lunch, we headed back down to Marrakech, with another three hours of mountain roads and a final hour of flatter terrain to reach Marrakech and rejoin the city traffic.
We returned to base at around 6:30 p.m., marking the end of a day of motorcycling, fun, and camaraderie.
We shared a drink at the base bar to relive the highlights of the day.
Our greatest satisfaction: your smiles at the end of this little road trip
Private transfer to your riad or hotel if you have opted for private transportation.
For those who wish to extend the adventure, we can arrange additional nights in Marrakech or elsewhere, notably on the shores of Lake Lalla Takerkoust, at our friend Jean-Charles's place, at Flouka, for a totally relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It is also possible to organize a half-day cultural tour with an official guide to discover the most beautiful sites in Marrakech.
