Marrakech - Foum Zguid - Dades

6 Days - 7 Nights - 1228 Km - (RM601)

Program

We welcome you upon arrival at the airport.

Our driver will take you to your Riad, in the medina, where you will spend your first night.

Dinner will be served in your Riad as well as breakfast the next day before your departure.

Around 8:00/8:30 our driver will pick you up at your hotel or Riad and drop you off at our base.

At 9:00 you will be at the departure base where your motorcycles will be ready to ride.

Our hostess will do the last departure formalities with you, check your license and passport.

A welcome coffee, tea, orange juice will be offered to you in our reception bar accompanied by Moroccan pastries.

You can take advantage of this moment of relaxation to get to know your guide and any other participants.

You will choose your helmet and gloves, and you will contact your motorcycle ready in your name.

All motorcycles are equipped with Top Case for all your personal belongings necessary for this motorcycle ride.

A 4x4 assistance vehicle will do the whole raid with you and will transport your luggage.

Your guide will then give you the safety instructions so that you can drive serenely in Moroccan traffic.

And off we go for 6 days of riding and nearly 1,492 km…. At the latest at 10am we will hit the road.

This 6-day ride is a summary of beautiful Atlas mountain roads by motorbike and breathtaking landscapes.

During this ride we will cross two magnificent and famous passages, the Dades and Toudgha gorges.

To begin we will go around Marrakech and you will be able to appreciate the architecture of the ramparts of the Medina.

We will go along the popular and authentic districts of Marrakech before heading towards the Ourika road.

After 30 minutes maximum we will have left Marrakech and we will start the road towards the Tizi N'test pass.

Your motorcycles are adapted for this long ride and particularly comfortable for the pilot and his possible passenger.

All the roads taken during this long road trip are very pleasant winding roads with magnificent mountain landscapes.

Every lunchtime a deserved break is organized in traditional Moroccan restaurants.

The selected hotels, Raids, Guest houses will always be chosen for their calm, luxury and relaxation areas.

In the mornings 'quiet' departures at 10 am after a hearty Moroccan breakfast.

Day 1 - Marrakech/Taroudant - 241 km (via the Tizi N'Test pass).

Day 2 - Taroudant/Tata - 201 km.

Day 3 -Tata/Foum Zguid/Sand dunes - 143 km + 3-hour 4x4 ride back from the dunes de sable.

Day 4 -Campement/Ouarzatate - 172 km + 3 hours 4x4.

Day 5 -Ouarzazate/Bin El Ouidane - 248 km

Day 6 - Bin El Ouidane/Marrakech - 225 km

Total: 1.228 km or an average of: 204 km/day

The first day we reach Taroudant via the Tizi N'Test pass (2,100m), lunch at the pass.

The following day, the Taroudant-Tata route is one of the most beautiful roads in southern Morocco, with landscapes worthy of the American West.

Possibility of visiting Taroudant on foot with a guide (1h30 visit) before departure.

The next day, we head for Foum Zguid to take the 4x4s to the Sable dunes for a magical bivouac.

We'll spend the night in luxury tents with individual showers and toilets, and enjoy a meal around the fire.

This exceptional night and the sunset in the dunes (even sunrise for the bravest) will leave you with memories for a long time to come.

The next morning we'll take the 4x4 back to the motorcycles waiting for us at Foum Zguid.

The next night will be in Ouarzazate in an intimate guesthouse, and you can visit Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.

Possibility of visiting the Ouarzazate film studios before departure.

After a night in Ouarzatate, head for the Bin El Ouidane lake.

Don't forget your camera, as the roads we'll be taking today are exceptional.

Once again, small mountain roads all day and night facing the Bin El Ouidane lake.

On the last day, we return to Marrakech via the winding Atlas roads, passing the Ouzoud waterfalls.

Possibility of visiting the Ouzoud waterfalls with a guide (1h30 walk).

The last lunch will be ‘pantagruellic’ and will be taken in a restaurant typical of Morocco's ‘urban’ cities.

During this road-trip, all expenses are included: accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, lunch breaks, gasoline - no surprises for your wallet.

The only expenses that are not included and will remain at your expense are alcoholic beverages.

Your guide, familiar with Moroccan roads, will be able to adapt the speed of the group according to the level of the drivers and the traffic conditions.

On the way back to base on the last day, at our bar you can have a drink at the end and start to regret the moment when you have to think about going back….

Our driver will then take you back to the Riad reserved for you where you will have your last dinner.

The next day, our driver will take you back to the airport.

Our greatest satisfaction will be your smiles when we part with the promise to start again....

This road trip is a complete immersion in the most spectacular regions of southern Morocco, specially designed for motorcycle enthusiasts in search of wide open spaces, a change of scenery, and rare experiences.

It combines mountain roads, desert plateaus, mineral landscapes, and sand dunes, in a perfectly balanced progression between riding, discovery, and emotion.

The highlight of the trip is a night in the heart of the dunes, in a luxury bivouac, for a timeless experience combining authenticity, comfort, and total safety.

You will ride from the High Atlas to the Anti-Atlas, cross the Tizi N'Test pass, discover Taroudant and Ouarzazate, before ending the road trip at Lake Bin El Ouidane and the Ouzoud waterfalls, then gradually returning to Marrakech.

The daily distances are balanced, with an average of around 150 to 160 miles per day, allowing you to fully enjoy the driving, the landscapes, and the stops along the way.

With the exception of alcoholic beverages in the evening at each stop, you will have absolutely nothing to spend during your stay.

All your overnight stays are booked in single rooms for maximum comfort.

Day 1 – Arrival in Marrakech

Personalized welcome at the airport exit.

Private transfer to your carefully selected riad.

Settle in and relax by the pool.

Dinner is served at the riad.

First night in Marrakech.

Day 2 - 242 km - Marrakech – Taroudant

Marrakech – Taroudant (via the Tizi N'Test pass)

First wake-up call in Marrakech and hearty breakfast at the riad.

At around 8:40 a.m., our private driver will pick you up directly from the riad and take you to the Rider Maroc base.

At 9 a.m., arrival at the base and welcome by your guide.

A welcome snack awaits you: tea, coffee, orange juice, dried fruit, and cakes.

Full briefing with your guide: safety instructions, specifics of driving in Morocco, and road trip itinerary.

Check of mandatory administrative documents (copies of passports and driver's licenses),

then signing of rental and insurance documents.

Choose your helmets and gloves, and get to grips with the motorcycles.

The 4x4 support vehicle will take your luggage and set off ahead of you.

Departure no later than 10 a.m.

Gradual exit from Marrakech, road to Tahanaout, then climb to the Tizi N'Test pass.

Winding road, magnificent landscapes, first immersion in the Atlas Mountains and familiarization with your new motorcycles.

Lunch at the Tizi N'Test pass (2,100 m), at our friend Mustapha's restaurant, with a first tagine.

Spectacular descent southward and panoramic views of the Souss Valley.

Arrival in Taroudant around 5:30 p.m.

Check-in at Riad Le Jasmin, a green oasis with a magnificent swimming pool.

Free time, aperitif, dinner, and overnight stay at the riad. 

Day 3 - 201 km - Taroudant - Tata

Taroudant - Tata

After breakfast, departure for the center of Taroudant.

Tour of the city by horse-drawn carriage with our local guide Hassan, followed by a friendly tea break.

The road then continues south through absolutely spectacular landscapes.

The relief takes on astonishing forms, reminiscent of the wide open spaces of the American West, with panoramas worthy of Monument Valley.

Ochre cliffs, arid plateaus, and natural mesas offer a smooth and hypnotic drive in a totally exotic atmosphere.

Lunch en route.

Arrival in Tata at the end of the day, check-in at the accommodation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 4 – 143 km + 3h of 4x4 - Tata - Foum Zguid - Dunes de sable

Tata - Foum Zguid - Sand Dunes 

After breakfast, departure for Foum Zguid, gateway to the desert.

The landscapes become mineral, open, and wild.

As we approach the dunes, the motorcycles are left at the designated point and the group boards 4x4s for an exceptional three-hour experience.

Crossing the sand dunes and the dry Iriki Lake offers spectacular, totally extraordinary landscapes.

The choice of 4x4s guarantees total safety and allows you to fully enjoy this desert immersion.

Arrival in the late afternoon at the luxury bivouac, set up in the heart of the dunes.

Each participant has a comfortable private tent with a bathroom and toilet.

In the evening, enjoy dinner in the dunes around a wood fire, accompanied by authentic Moroccan singers.

A timeless, deeply moving moment.

Spend the night at the camp in the absolute silence of the desert.

Day 5 – 172 km + 3 hours by 4x4 - Camp - Ouarzazate

Camp - Ouarzazate

Wake up in the heart of the dunes, in a peaceful and surreal atmosphere.

Breakfast facing the desert.

Leaving the camp is always a special moment, tinged with nostalgia, as this timeless night leaves a lasting impression on the mind.

Return by 4x4 through the dunes and the dry Iriki Lake. The 4x4 will take other tracks to discover other landscapes of the Moroccan desert, then we will resume our motorcycles.

Lunch upon arrival by 4x4 in Foum ZGuid at our friend Bari's house, with a dip in the pool for those who wish.

After this special moment out of time, we will resume our journey towards Ouarzazate.

Arrival in Ouarzazate in the afternoon.

Check-in at a city guest house, selected for the charm of its rooms, its comfort, and its location.

The guest house has a swimming pool, ideal for relaxing after this exceptional day.

Depending on your preferences, you can enjoy the pool, rest, or take your first stroll around Ouarzazate.

After drinks by the pool, dinner and overnight stay at the guest house.

Day 6 - 256 km - Ouarzazate– Bin El Ouidane

Ouarzazate– Bin El Ouidane

After breakfast, we set off for a gentler day, alternating between mountains and plateaus.

The road alternates between a series of bends, rolling sections and wilder passages, with very little traffic.

We travel along roads at altitudes exceeding 2,800 meters, crossing plateaus and unspoiled landscapes, with vast panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

An ideal day to enjoy riding in a calm and spectacular environment.

Lunch break in a typical mountain inn, an opportunity to recharge your batteries and chat about this beautiful morning of riding.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey along equally pleasant roads before gradually descending towards the Lake Bin El Ouidane region.

The contrast between the mountainous terrain and the arrival in this natural setting surrounded by water is striking.

Arrival at Lake Bin El Ouidane at the end of the day.

Check-in at the hotel, ideally located on the lake shore, offering a peaceful and relaxing setting after a day of motorcycling.

Free time to relax by the pool, enjoy the natural surroundings, or simply admire the view.

Aperitif, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 7 - 224 km - Bin El Ouidane – Marrakech

Bin El Ouidane – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech

After breakfast, departure for the Ouzoud Waterfalls, considered to be the most beautiful waterfalls in Morocco.

The road is winding at first, passing through beautiful mid-mountain landscapes, before becoming smoother as we approach the site.

Arrival at the Ouzoud Waterfalls around 10 a.m.

Our local guide will be waiting for us there for a walking tour of about 1.5 hours, allowing us to discover the different levels of the waterfalls, the shaded trails, the spectacular views, and the very special atmosphere of the site.

After the tour, we have lunch in a restaurant located directly on the site, with a bird's eye view of the waterfalls.

It is not uncommon for the little monkeys living in the area to come and join us at the tables, adding a playful and typically Moroccan touch to the moment.

After lunch, we'll hit the road again, heading back to Marrakech.

The roads gradually become less winding, giving way to the plains of Marrakech, marking the end of this magnificent road trip.

Arrival at the Rider Maroc base around 6 p.m.

Return the motorcycles, then enjoy a final drink together at the base bar, a convivial moment to share your last memories, recount the latest anecdotes from the road trip, exchange photos and stories, and bring this adventure to a close in a warm atmosphere.

Private transfer to your riad.

Dinner and last night in Marrakech. 

Day 8 – Return home (yes, everything comes to an end)

Our private driver will pick you up 2.5 hours before your flight.

After spending so much time together, you'll almost become friends with him!

Our greatest satisfaction: seeing you smile when we say goodbye.

If your flight is late:

You can leave your luggage at the riad and enjoy one last stroll around Marrakech.

To extend your stay, we can arrange:

– additional nights in Marrakech,

– or a stay at Lake Lalla Takerkoust, at our friend Jean-Charles's place in Flouka,

for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We can also organize a half-day cultural tour with an official guide to discover the history, architecture, and iconic sites of Marrakech:

Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the souks, and the Majorelle Gardens.
