Marrakech - Taroudant - Foum Zguid

This five-day road trip is a gradual immersion from the Atlas Mountains to southern Morocco, specially designed for motorcycle enthusiasts and lovers of wide open spaces.

It combines mountain roads, increasingly mineral landscapes, desert gateways, and above all, an exceptional experience: a night camping in the dunes, a truly unique feature of this road trip.

The program begins with a first long day of motorcycling, crossing the Tizi N'Test pass (2,100 m), one of the most beautiful mountain roads in Morocco, before reaching Taroudant.

Then the adventure takes on an even more spectacular dimension: after a day of motorcycling, we reach the dunes and the camp in 4x4s, to experience a night in a luxury bivouac in the heart of the desert.

In total, you will cover approximately 975 km, plus about 5 hours in 4x4s.

All our road trips and motorcycle tours are offered on an all-inclusive basis.

With the exception of alcoholic beverages in the evening at each stop, you will have absolutely nothing to spend during your stay.

All your overnight stays are booked in single rooms for maximum comfort.

And if you snore at night, no problem... you won't disturb anyone!

The organization includes full logistical assistance, luggage transport, and permanent technical support for your motorcycle.

First night in Marrakech.

Marrakech – Taroudant via the Tizi N'Test pass

First wake-up call in Marrakech and hearty breakfast at the riad.

At around 8:40 a.m., our private driver will pick you up directly from the riad and take you to the Rider Maroc base.

At 9 a.m., arrival at the base and welcome by your guide.

A welcome snack awaits you: tea, coffee, orange juice, dried fruit, and cakes.

Full briefing with your guide: safety instructions, specifics of driving in Morocco, and road trip itinerary.

Check of administrative documents, then signing of rental and insurance documents.

Choose your helmets and gloves, and get to grips with the motorcycles.

The 4x4 support vehicle will take your luggage and set off ahead of you.

Departure no later than 10 a.m.

We will gradually leave Marrakech via secondary roads, allowing us to gently leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind.

We will take the Tahanaout road, then gradually climb towards the Atlas Mountains.

The climb to the Tizi N'Test pass offers a succession of turns, long curves, and sequences that are very enjoyable on a motorcycle.

The landscapes change rapidly: Berber villages, terraced crops, deep valleys, and magnificent mountain panoramas.

Lunch at the Tizi N'Test pass, at our friend Mustapha's restaurant, with a first tagine.

Spectacular descent southward with magnificent views of the Souss Valley.

Arrival in Taroudant around 5:30 p.m. 

Check-in at Riad Le Jasmin, a green oasis with a magnificent swimming pool.

Free time, aperitif, dinner, and overnight stay at the riad.

Taroudant – Tata

After breakfast, visit the city of Taroudant by horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by our guide, to discover the ramparts, narrow streets, and unique atmosphere of this ancient fortified city.

Duration: approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

At 10:30 a.m., enjoy a friendly tea break before hitting the road again.

We then leave Taroudant and head for Tata.

The road passes through increasingly open and wild landscapes, reminiscent of the wide open spaces of the American West, with an atmosphere similar to Monument Valley.

Arrival in Tata at the end of the day.

Check in at your accommodation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Tata – Foum Zguid – Camp in the dunes

Departure by motorcycle to Foum Zguid, at the gateway to the desert.

Arrival in Foum Zguid, then transfer to 4x4 vehicles, the ideal solution for crossing the desert safely.

Crossing Lake Iriki, a vast desert expanse, then continuing along sandy tracks and through sand dunes.

After about 2.5 hours in the 4x4, arrival at the camp set up in the dunes.

Luxury individual tents with beds, showers, and toilets.

Sunset, dinner around the fire, and a magical night in the desert.

Bivouac – Foum Zguid – Ouarzazate

Breakfast in the dunes.

We leave the camp with a mixture of regret and nostalgia, as the experience in the desert is so intense and timeless.

Return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid, where the motorcycles await us.

Resume the journey to Ouarzazate, through vast mineral landscapes.

Arrival in Ouarzazate in the afternoon.

Check into an intimate guest house, selected for its calm and comfort.

Free time, dinner, and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Return to Marrakech via small, quiet mountain roads, which are very pleasant to ride on a motorcycle.

Pass through the village of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Arrive at the Rider Maroc base around 6 p.m.

Return the motorcycles, then enjoy a last drink at the bar, a convivial moment to share memories and anecdotes.

Private transfer to your riad.

Dinner and last night in Marrakech.

Depending on your flight schedule, our private driver will pick you up at the riad 2.5 hours before your flight departure.

As the days go by, as we accompany you, drive you around, and chat with you, you will almost feel like you are leaving a friend when it is time to say goodbye.

Our greatest satisfaction comes from your smiles, your enthusiastic feedback, and the moments we share throughout your stay.

If your flight is late, you can leave your luggage at the riad and enjoy Marrakech, its souks, and its terraces one last time.
