Imlil - At the foot of Toubkal

Imlil starting point for climbing Mount Toubkal.

Program

Meeting at 8.45am at our Rider Maroc base.

If you don't have one, you can choose your helmet and gloves in our reception area, and get in touch with your bike.

All bikes are equipped with a Top Case for your personal belongings - don't forget your sunglasses, you'll need them.

We'll have a quick get-to-know-you breakfast in our bar.

Your guide will then give you all the instructions you need to drive safely in Moroccan traffic.

And off we go.... We'll be on the road by 10 a.m. at the latest.

The climb up to Imlil n will take you through the breathtaking Atlas mountain scenery all day long.

We'll bypass Marrakech and enjoy the architecture of the Medina's ramparts.                                                                                                                                                       

We'll pass through Marrakesh's popular and authentic districts before heading towards the Atlas Mountains.                                                                                                                                                        

After a maximum of 30 minutes, we're out of Marrakech and on our way to Tahannaout.

This mountain ride is the most difficult outing from Marrakech (it goes round and round and round all day...).

By the time we reach Imlil, the road has run out of tarmac and becomes off-road....

In this first part of the climb, some of the switchbacks are very, very tight.

All the way up to Imlil, you can enjoy some magnificent mountain scenery.

All day long, this tour takes in winding mountain roads where experienced riders can enjoy themselves in complete safety.

Your guide, familiar with Moroccan roads, will adapt the group's speed according to riders' skill levels and traffic conditions,

Lunch will be taken in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere, in a restaurant/auberge that is totally unlikely to be found after a 3-hour drive.

Enjoy this magical and relaxing culinary break after a busy morning.

On the way back to Asni, you'll take another mountain slope, just as beautiful as the morning's route.

Before rejoining the main road to Marrakech, we climb to Moulay Brahim and head for Lake Lalla Takerkoust.

Arriving at Lake Lalla Takerkoust, we'll take a break in the village for a drink or coffee.

Once again, you'll be able to enjoy the many twists and turns of the roads we've selected for you to enjoy.

For us, motorcycling means .... Right, left, right, left, and so on all day long, without ever stopping.

After about 3 hours on the road, you'll be back at our base, hopefully with pictures in your eyes and a smile on your face.

At the base, at our bar, you can have a drink (non-alcoholic beverages), a crêpe, a waffle or a croque monsieur....

Our driver will then take you back to the rendezvous point, and the day's motorcycle ride is over (we have others in the catalogue.....).
